JOALI Maldives marks its seventh anniversary, reflecting on a journey shaped by craftsmanship, thoughtful service, and its guiding philosophy, the Joy of Creative Living. In seven years, the design-focused resort has grown from an ambitious new arrival into a recognised name within the Maldives’ high-end hospitality landscape.

A Vision Taking Shape

Launched in 2018, JOALI began as a lifestyle brand grounded in the idea of sharing the Joy of Living — a celebration of creativity, connection, and mindful luxury. As its first property, JOALI Maldives has since refined this approach into the Joy of Creative Living, expressing its identity as the Maldives’ only art-immersive resort.

The resort features 73 villas designed with a balance of style and sustainability. Elements such as the distinctive arrival jetty, hand-carved details, and curated artworks from global creators form a setting where design encourages reflection and inspiration. Over time, JOALI Maldives has become known as a place where artistic expression is woven into the guest experience.

Looking Ahead

To commemorate the anniversary, JOALI Maldives hosted a day of celebrations on 15 November, bringing together guests and hosts. The programme included an afternoon tea led by visiting South African artist Peni Petersen, featuring creative tablescapes and interactive art elements, followed by a sunset cocktail gathering and a beachfront dinner accompanied by live music.
