Velaa Private Island has announced the official launch of the newly redesigned Lha Velaa Kids Club, developed in collaboration with Worldwide Kids. The refreshed space features vibrant outdoor areas designed to encourage creativity, exploration, and imaginative play for young guests.
A central feature of the redesign is the Velaa Seaplane, now positioned as the focal point of the outdoor playground. Equipped with slides and climbing elements, the structure offers children an opportunity to engage in active, adventure-inspired play.
Movement with Purpose: Human-Powered Energy at Play
The new design incorporates activities that highlight both movement and sustainability, introducing elements where physical activity generates energy. The Energy Studio encourages children to convert their motion into power, offering a screen-free way to combine fitness and interactive learning.
Interactive elements include:
- Shot Spot Wall Game by Playnetic, fully powered by kinetic energy.
- Kylii Quest, a motion-responsive board game featuring Tokey and friends, designed to test speed, reflexes, and coordination.
- Listening Tubes, which enhance sound and communication through simple acoustic play.
For quieter moments, the new Relax Haven provides a calm area for children and families to pause and unwind.
Culinary and Creative Activities
The Cooking and Experiment Pavilion introduces hands-on cooking sessions and simple supervised experiments, offering children opportunities to explore food preparation and basic science through practical, interactive tasks.“Working on this project has been the perfect blend of weaving in a new concept into an existing space.
